FREE WEBINAR · WAITING LIST
How do you make a decision when you can see too many possibilities?
Bring the thing you can't stop thinking about and can't not want. Knowing what you want doesn't mean it's possible, available, practical, or even a good idea.
The Rabbit Hole Roadmap gives you a way to interrogate the Dream without requiring yourself to stop wanting it.
THE FREE WEBINAR WILL LAUNCH WHEN 100 PEOPLE JOIN THE WAITING LIST
The PROBLEM
The problem may be that you can see too much. One possibility immediately reveals three more. Every decision has consequences, contingencies, exceptions, dependencies, and alternate routes. Before long, a question that looked simple has become a rabbit hole because you can see more of the map than you know how to choose from.
Conventional advice is not especially useful here. “Just pick one” ignores what you can already see. “Trust your gut” assumes your gut is pointing in only one direction. And “follow your dream” skips the harder question entirely: whether the thing you want is possible, available, practical, or actually worth choosing.
Seeing a possibility does not make it a choice. Wanting something does not make it viable. And knowing what you can't not want does not tell you what to do next. You need a way to separate the Dream from the possibilities surrounding it and determine what is actually visible and available from where you are now.
That is the rabbit hole. The Rabbit Hole Roadmap gives you a way to move through it without pretending you can see less than you do.
WHAT THIS IS NOT REPLACING
There is nothing wrong with pros-and-cons lists, decision matrices, coaching, therapy, or asking people you trust for advice. They can all help. But most decision-making tools begin after you have already identified the choices you are deciding between.
That is not always where I get stuck. My problem comes earlier. I can see so many possibilities, and so many relationships between those possibilities, that I can spend enormous amounts of energy trying to evaluate options that may not actually be options at all. Something can be imaginable without being possible, possible without being available, and available without being something I actually want to choose.
The Rabbit Hole Roadmap starts before the pros-and-cons list. Before I decide which option is best, I want to know which possibilities belong on the menu in the first place.
The goal isn't to make a better choice from too many possibilities. First, we need to figure out what the choices actually are.
THE RABBIT HOLE ROADMAP
Four letters. Four questions. One way through the rabbit hole.
T
Tackle the Topic
What is? Before you can make a decision, you need to know what you are actually deciding about. Separate the Dream from the adjacent problems, hypothetical futures, other people's expectations, and all the other rabbit holes connected to it.
Name the thing you are interrogating.
R
Resolve the Referent
What do you mean? Words like success, enough, ready, responsible, practical, failure, and dream can hide enormous assumptions. Before you reason with them, make sure you know what they actually refer to.
Find the just-right words.
I
Interrogate Your Inklings
What if? What do you already suspect? What keeps recurring? What doesn't fit the explanation you have been given—or the explanation you have been giving yourself? An inkling is not an instruction to obey.
It is information to interrogate.
P
Practice Pragmatic Positivity
What now? Instead of asking how to make the Dream work, begin by ruling out what doesn't: not this, not now, not yet, not under these conditions, not at this cost. Every legitimate No reduces the possibility space.
See what remains.
The Roadmap doesn't tell you what the answer is. It gives you a repeatable way to figure out what you actually know.
THE FREE WEBINAR
1
Maybe it's a business, a book, a move, a different career, or a completely different way of living. Start with the thing you can't stop thinking about and can't not want, without treating that desire as proof that it can work.
2
These are different questions. Wanting the Dream does not establish that it is possible; a possibility may not be available to you now. The Chooser gets to choose, but only from what is visible and available in the moment.
3
Words such as practical, responsible, ready, and enough can settle an argument before you have examined it. Finding the just-right words helps separate what you know from what you assume, suspect, or have yet to find out.
4
The planned webinar will work through an example using TRIP:
Tackle the topic, Resolve the referent, Interrogate your inklings, and Practice pragmatic positivity. The point is to make the reasoning visible so you can return to it with your own question.
5
Via Negativa begins by ruling out what doesn't fit: not this, not now, not yet, not under these conditions, not at this cost. Each legitimate No reduces the possibility space, helping you see what remains and what still needs investigation.
6
The Dream may survive every question and still be unavailable today. The next choice belongs to the life you are living now. We will examine how to keep the Dream in view without making its arrival a condition of living.
BRING THE THING YOU CAN’T NOT WANT
This first free webinar is for individuals facing a question of their own. You do not need to arrive with a defensible plan or a Dream you can prove is sensible. Bring the thing you want to interrogate and a willingness to find out what you actually know.
The webinar has not been created yet. When the waiting list reaches 100 people, I will create and deliver it. Joining the list lets me know you want to be part of that first conversation; there is no webinar date to put in your calendar yet.

WHEN THE DREAM ISN’T AVAILABLE YET
You can keep wanting the Dream and keep living your life.
The Dream
A Dream may survive interrogation and still not be available today. You can acknowledge what you cannot not want without treating it as a promise, a plan, or an obligation to make it happen.
The Meantime
Your life does not have to wait for the Dream to become available. Living the Dream in the Meantime means examining what is possible here, with the time, resources, responsibilities, and choices you actually have.
The Chooser
The Chooser gets to choose from what is visible and available in the moment. A choice you can make now does not have to settle the Dream forever. It needs to make sense under the conditions that exist today.
The Next Inquiry
Conditions change, and new information can change what is available. TRIP gives you a repeatable way to revisit the question without starting every rabbit hole from scratch—or suspending your life until you have a final answer.
