The Neurosparkle Newsletter

Who the hell do you think you are?

I’m a Neurosparkler. Maybe you are too.

One Just Right Word every Sunday for how you’re built, not what’s wrong with you.

Free. Every Sunday morning. Unsubscribe anytime.

If you’re here to…

Stop over-explaining yourself
Find the Just Right Words for how you’re built
Stop getting read as rude when you’re being direct
Say no without a long apology
Build a life that fits your Bird Brain

…then you’re in the Just Right place.

Neurosparklers spent decades building careers, relationships, families, businesses, creative lives, and elaborate workarounds before somebody finally handed us words like ADHD, autism, giftedness, twice exceptional, hyperlexia, gestalt processing, or AuDHD. Some of those words explain an astonishing amount. They also tend to begin with a so called “late diagnosis” of what is supposedly wrong with us.

Everyone in this space asks what’s wrong with you. I ask how you’re built, and help you find the life that fits you.

Neurosparkler is the name I coined for my particular Bird Brain because there wasn’t another word for my particular set of Strengths, Temperament, Intellect, Quirks and Story. If the word fits you, then it’s yours to use. If not, choose your own Just Right Word.

Once I started using the term Neurosparkler, thousands of other people said, “That’s what I’ve been trying to explain all this time.”

Heard on TikTok

Neurosparklers are already finding each other.

I have subscribed to your newsletter and have come to hang on your every word! It’s honestly incredible how much you’re capturing what I’ve been trying to figure out about myself for the last couple of years. I settled on “I think in systems”, but you are giving me sooooo much more ❤️ thanks again and keep sparkling ✨✨✨

sometimes I feel so alone in my "idiosyncrasies" until I hear someone else speak my mind so accurately

it’s amazing to hear this put into words in this way. I’ve struggled with this so much and have a really hard time explaining it so I just don’t try. especially lately as it’s been really messing up my communication

A letter from Auntie Paige

Why trust me?

I had 40 jobs in 40 years before meeting my husband and embarking on the world’s longest honeymoon. I have won Employee of the Year as many times as I have been fired. That’s not a story about failure…it’s a story about agency and coherence that comes from doing most what I do best in the way that works best for my Bird Brain.

The core principle of my writing is “The Chooser gets to Choose…but only from the options that are actually visible and available to us in the moment. If I can’t choose no, then yes is not really an option.”

More than 10,000 people now follow along on TikTok. I spent seven years and millions of words building this framework, and I wrote the book on it: Through the Hummingbird’s Eye: A Neurosparkle Manifesto.

I’m not a doctor or a therapist, and nothing here is a diagnosis. It’s language built from my own lived experience. You decide if it fits. Unsubscribe any time if it doesn’t. Either way, I am glad you are here.

— Auntie Paige
